A welcoming arrival
Settle in before your visit.
Our reception area will welcome you with complimentary coffee and cold beverages, a comfortable place to sit, and a friendly greeting. We want you to have space to settle in and ask questions before treatment begins.
If you have been given instructions about eating or drinking before treatment or sedation, follow those instructions and check with our team before enjoying a beverage.

A pause when you need one
We can agree on a simple hand signal before treatment starts. If you need a break, want to ask a question, or need us to adjust something, you have a clear way to let us know.
Clear explanations
Some people feel more comfortable knowing each step; others prefer a brief overview. Tell us how much detail you would like. We will make time to discuss your questions and the proposed care.
Your comfort preferences
Tell us about chair positioning, sensitivity to sounds or lights, or anything that made a past visit difficult. Ask about extra support, a blanket, or other adjustments so we can discuss what is available and suitable for your visit.
Conscious sedation
More support for dental anxiety.
Skykomish Dental plans to offer conscious sedation after opening. If dental anxiety makes treatment difficult, talk with Dr. Sam Sharifi about your concerns and the comfort options that may be appropriate for you.
Sedation requires an individual assessment. Our team will discuss the proposed method, alternatives, preparation and aftercare with you before treatment. Please follow the instructions provided for your particular visit.
